How We Grade Our Clubs
Every rating means the same thing, on every club, every time.
Every club we sell is individually inspected and graded by hand. We check the head, face and grooves, the shaft, and the grip, then score each part out of 10 and note an overall grade, so you know exactly what you're getting before it arrives.
The scale below is the one we use everywhere on the site. And if a club rates below 6, we simply don't sell it, so you'll never see one listed.
What We Check
- Head: face, crown, and sole. Dings, sky marks, rust, and groove wear all count against the score.
- Shaft: straight and undamaged, checked for chips, scratches, and rust. The flex on the listing is the flex in your hands.
- Grip: scored on the life left in it, so you know before you buy whether a regrip is coming.
The Scale
Ratings reflect cosmetic condition. Anything that affects how a club plays, not just how it looks, gets called out in the listing's photos and description.
